We are extremely pleased that our company has acquired a major public procurement project which was led by the company SODO system operator of the electricity distribution network d.o.o. , on behalf of four regional utilities: Elektro Ljubljana, Elektro Maribor, Elektro Primorska and Elektro Celje. Iskraemeco will supply smart meters that will be installed in households and transformer stations.

Iskraemeco’s smart meters will play an important role in the transformation of Slovenia’s electricity grid and its transition to the smart metering system. In the period 2020–2022, our company will supply AM550 smart meters with G3-PLC communication, AC750 concentrators and MT880 industrial meters.

Iskraemeco will supply the utilities with smart meters and provide end consumers with a user-friendly and technologically advanced system that will help consumers optimise their electricity consumption.

“Meter installations in Slovenia is conducted in accordance with the Implementation Plan for Advanced Metering Systems and the predefined meter replacement schedule in line with the set goals, which we managed to exceed in the previous year. Currently, digital meters are used by 70% of Slovenia’s households and other metering points, and all these consumers can benefit from the array of digital meter features, which include electricity consumption management, power bill reduction, as well as the possibility of self-supply, which has been increasing in Slovenia recently. Looking forward to a successful cooperation, we are certain that we will continue to achieve our meter installation goals also in the coming period,” said Andrej Špenga, Project Leader, SODO d.o.o.
