Dutch utilities were among the early adopters of smart meters. Smaller scale roll-outs based on DSMR (Dutch Smart Meter Requirements) specifications began in 2012. With four utilities leading the smart meter revolution, 70% of the country’s existing infrastructure will be smart by end of 2020.
Iskraemeco Egypt has signed a contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of smart electricity and water meters to Tatweer Misr. The contract includes meter-to-cash solutions and maintenance for 4,000 AM550 smart meters and water meters in Fouka Bay in the North Coast, Egypt.
