Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Iskraemeco are entering into a new smart metering project. Smart meters from Iskraemeco are intended to fulfil ADDC`s current annual smart metering demand. The two companies extended this successful partnership for the fourth year in a row.
Iskraemeco smart meters shall be connected to the proprietary Head-end system software, SEP2W, through point to point communication and installed at residential and commercial consumers. The smart meters are based on ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority) specifications and have received all obligatory approvals and undergone factory acceptance testing at Iskraemeco headquarters in Slovenia.
Once the project is completed, the total number of Iskraemeco smart metering devices installed at ADDC will reach 70.000. The majority of the installed meters are located in residential and commercial environments. “Iskraemeco meters are very well known for their high quality. We continue to cooperate with Iskraemeco because of their efficient and timely deliveries and the professional technical support they offer”, ADDC representative said.
ADDC is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADWEA, responsible for distributing water and electricity services to all customers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, excluding the Al Ain region. At the moment, Abu Dhabi is one of the leading emirates, along with Dubai, in implementing smart metering in the UAE region.
